Okay, you know most pick up lines are cheesy. That's why you are here. Every guy looks at a funny line and wonders "should I try it out as an ice breaker?". Most guys don't have the confidence to be a little outrageous and say something crazy so they don't.
Other guys do try these lines and wonder why girls have such a bad sense of humor - can't they take a joke? It's a rare guy who can use corny pick up lines and make girls eat out of their hand but these guys do exist.
Girls don't like pick up lines, except as a joke, because they know the guy using them does not see them as individuals but as a someone to score with, you know a piece of cherry pie. ( I am trying to avoid being vulgar).
Pick up lines have a bad reputation and even if nice guys try them, girls will put them in the same category of those sleazy guys on the make. When you use a pick up line as an introduction, you are basically saying to girls "I want some sex and I have no strategy to get some, except to use these bad lines on every girl I see".
You think I exaggerate? Ask enough women and they will say they don't like most of the lines used by most guys. They do want to met guys who are funny but not guys who devalue the ritual of dating with korny lines so don't try to be funny this way.
